Read the manual the slide stop needs to be reset on reassembly.

I don't have the manual but everything seems bound up. As soon as I can figure out how to disassemble this 320, putting it back together will be easy.

Youtube Sig 320 take down lever fix. Will show you how to release the slide. Then you can start over.

I’ve never owned an Sig but had sort of a similar problem with a Walther p38 22caliber. I went to remove the slide and it went too far forward with hammer still cocked, and I couldn’t even drop the hammer and I couldn’t move the slide back or forward. But be hind the slide I could see part of the firing pin block, sticking up, I pushed down on the firing pin block with a small screw driver and it freed everything up to where I could release the hammer and disassemble it. I just keep it in mind anymore when I disassemble that gun not to let the slide past the end of the frame when disassembling it.

Have you removed the grips to see if you can see possibly anything that might be blocking the slide or hammer from underneath?

Colt Mustangs when reassembling them, if you push down too far on the ejector you have to remove the grips to pull the sear spring back in order to release the ejector. Not that they are similar, as I said I have never worked on a Sig.

I was right in my original post. Between GB and YouTube I got it done quick and easy.

I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer but point me in the right direction to get to the right video that shows how to get the job done and my pastor is going to think I know what I'm doing!! I guess he's right, kinda/sorta!!😁

Thanks all for making me look good!!

Great. Did you find out what was actually causing it to lock up?

I would not feel safe in that church knowing that the preacher's gun is broken and he is not armed and ready to protect and wondering how many people knows he is not armed.

Them sicko's like to go to places that they think there is no artillery.

I know a preacher that is concealed carry. I feel safe around him.

Loan the preacher your artillery in the meantime.

Has anyone noticed that very few of them sicko's start shooting at a gun show?

Appears that them people that are against guns do not understand why guns shows are one of the few places that people are safe from being shot.

Here you go Joe!! So easy once you know what to do!!

Forgot to install P320 takedown lever. (youtube.com)

My church has multiple armed members at every service. Our sound man is in the best place to have a shot at an intruder because of the way the door is set up. As I have told him, if we ever have an intruder I will immediantly standup and act like an idiot or a butthole (I am exceedingly qualified for either role!) as a distraction so he can get a uninterupted shot.

Waltermoe, the cause of the problem was the gun was put back together after cleaning only to find out the takedown lever wasn't replaced. You know, you finish the job and look down and there is a part laying there. Ooops. The video clearly explains the problem and shows how to fix it by moving the sear. The video was great. Two minutes after watching it my pastors Sig was ready to shoot!!
