The TV series The Gun Father...
Anyone watch this series on the Outdoor Channel? He "restores" firearms for folks. I come from a Military Museum background and an original patina is the gold standard. Clients seem to be pleased with their new and shiny firearm. Am I missing something?

Some folks want what they want, and decreased value doesn't seem to matter.

They never tell you what they charge for their restorations……
But they seem like fun folks, shooting guns, riding motorcycles, etc….

I have had a few restored and then I have a few that will never be touched. Individual choice

All the patina, scratches, and digs are important pieces of the gun's history to me. I love to pick up a Winchester 1866, or 1873 and just imagine how those marks got there.
