BEST steak you ever ate, other than your own...
…these food posts are making me hungry…friend used to build million dollar+ homes in the DFW area…he was born in Odessa in west Texas, oil family…every weekend 4 of us would jump in his Suburban and take off with no particular destination in mind… Billy Scott would pay for everything…I was dating Shelby, his daughter, so it was Shelby, his girlfriend & me…one weekend we ended up in Buffalo Gap Texas at a friend of his Steak House…you could look out the windows and see future steaks grazing.😁…he raised, butchered his own beef…the absolute best Ribeye I have ever eaten…grilled over Mesquite that he cut on his ranch…now I'm hungry…

I don't remember the name but when we left from Glacier National Park there was a little restaurant that served Buffalo rib steaks that has to be the best steaks that I've had.

I like my steak simple. Maybe a little salt before cooking, nothing else. I’ve had steak at Ruth’s Chris, and a couple of very high steak houses, but must confess that the fork soft stuff isn’t for me. I prefer a place like Texas Roadhouse where you get a nice marbled steak you have to cut with a knife and actually chew.
Went to Texas RH last night after seeing this post. I agree it's great steak there.

Another local place that has great steak and prime rib is The Mint Cafe and bar, main st. Belgrade.

London Chop House Detroit. The steak was excellent, but not good enough to go back. I drive around Detroit these days.

Mine would have to be a porterhouse, medium rare, at the Hereford House in Kansas City. Or maybe a bone-in-ribeye at Johnnie's Cafe by the old stockyards in Omaha Nebraska.

Another vote for the Hereford House- and one for Shula's in Florida. And one of my Hawai'ian customers took me to a no-name Japanese restaurant on Maui and fed me a Kobe Porterhouse.

I forgot about Shulas Steakhouse. We were on a golf trip in the Tampa area and had a great meal there . I think that location has since closed.
