You will love it. I bought J's S&W 36 (twin to yours) in '82 as her CCW carry. She qualifies with it every two years, required here in Ca. "Charlie" goes everywhere she goes. The first shot is a Speer capsule loaded with 4 #4 buckshot buffered with #9 shot followed by 110 grain Remingtons backed by 7 Grs. of Unique. Stay safe, my friend.

Yep Eddie, we have two 36 models. One three inch that I bought for my wife as a Christmas present in '92/'93? And one "Lady Smith" we picked up some time later. Both sport Crimson Trace grips now.

Nice find, it will make a nice carry piece.
Looks like the extractor rod needs to be screwed in farther as I can see the extractor spring is exposed. You will have to let us know how it shoots.

My brother has had one for 40 or so years. Before we had the better designed bullets of today, it was always filled with hollow based wadcutters loaded upside down in the case. Not a very accurate load but devastating for up close and personal. Bob

Well, it's no Glock, but it will do in a pinch.

But no accessory rail, right Joe?

I have one just like that, that my mother in law gave me and one in .357 that I bought.
Super little revolvers and very well made …………………….. you'll be happy with it.

That .32 is a super-cool gun. This a new shortie Python - more compact, but still not-compact imo. I think I will opt for a Pachy grip instead of those however.

When you need parts I'm your man 😀, I've got it's twin but let me tell you, don't take that cylinder latch off, there's a small spring and a tiny weird shaped washer behind it that will fly away forever. It was a good pistol until I tried to do some work on the cylinder hand and lost the parts. It's been in a drawer for years now, parts are scarce and when they do show up for sale the sellers think they're more valuable than the pistol. 🙄

I had one briefly in .32 H&R Magnum. It shot very nicely, but one of my BILs liked it so I sold it to him for what I gave for it. One of the few guns I have ever sold.

Yep I've got an old Charter off Duty. Great small carry piece. Please do crew in the Ejector rod head. it will get lost. But ill work fine with it, just a but extra tension.
Bought out a Gunsmith that specialized in fixing Charters. for some reason folks tinkers with them and had problems.
I've got stuff. even some unfinished hammers and barrels ?? Even had a Frame that was like 80%.
