Watching the news this morning it sounds like it was a very limited strike. Almost like Israel just wanted to remind the mullahs that they were well within Israels reach should they get too froggy.

Hmm, don't wanna get banned before Ditch Runner gets his package, is there any comment I can make that won't make the Disagrees pour in?

Uhhh how about "it's all fun and games until this leads to American boots on the ground"? Like we can agree that we don't want to see our guys fight and die in some foreign desert (again) after spending +20 years doing that in recent memory?

Don't think there is any chance that would happen. Biden/ Harris would surrender unconditionally /

What ever happened to "let's finish this right now forever and quit playing games with each other and continuously making stupid threats". There comes a time to get it on and that time is now. 😠

I just want to clear one thing up: people disagreeing with you on this forum won't get you banned. Healthy disagreement is an important part of forum discussion and everyone has their own opinions. The important thing is presenting your opinion in a way that doesn't inflame. Inflammatory behavior will get you banned. That said I don't make the policies here, I just enforce them. But if the admins feel you're walking the line too often they will likely take action, and of course if us mods see a recurring pattern we can use our powers too. All that said, if self moderation is a real problem for you, this is not your home.

The small strike on Iran I feel has sent two messages. 1. Their telling Iran, the United States doesn’t dictate are policy’s. And 2, they’re telling the Biden administration. Don’t tell us what we can and can’t do to protect are country just because your having trouble with protesters and with pole numbers in your election.
All this talk about not expanding the war in the Middle East. I would say by launching drones and missiles at Israel comes under the heading of expanding the war.

Oh no, I'm aware that just disagreeing with people won't get me banned. It's just that ever since I read the "The Forum Posting Guidelines And What They Mean" (specifically the parts that state that the Gunbroker staff reserve the right to delete and ban outside of the rules based on their judgement) I've been more aware about my behavior here.

Like, on my second day here I ended up getting 21 Disagrees total and two of the threads I posted in got people so bothered by my posts that the staff had to step in and lock them. To call it a culture shock is an understatement.

If I end up being a nuisance that can't be banned for rule breaking because I keep skirting the rules and the staff decide it's best to just identify me as a problem user and ban me, then so be it. I mean, I'm gonna actively try to not do that, but I… think you know what I'm trying to get across here? Ugh. Words are hard.

Summary: I'm well-aware my opinions and preferences (especially in the political sense) are at times the complete opposite of those in the majority here and might lead to flaming regardless of how "neutral" I try to present it. If I fail to fit in with you guys in the future and end up being a problem I know staff has every right to ban me "just because".

I gave you a " disagree " because you seem to be collecting them. Glad to help.

Yes I agree, thus many times I find it best to just not reply…

NotDracon, I once stepped into a little bar for a beer and in a heartbeat, the boisterous activity inside went dead silent. I was gazing at a sea of very Black faces. Knowing full well that I did not belong there, I turned on my heel and briskly left.

There may be a lesson there.

I did the same thing once in SW Arkansas, where someone had told me I could find a good game of pool . Only difference was the air was heavy with the smell of Dr. Tichenor's mouthwash. That was the drink of the night.😲
