I deal with Zanders weekly they have never done anything out of ordinary business with me. My account has the rifle still backordered.

All of the wholesale guys do this same thing. A couple weeks ago Iron Valley (formerly known as Bangers) was doing a deal where you could order Ruger lever guns if you ordered a certain number of other models. Not one of the wholsale guys is getting "what they want"…..but if you buy a pile of stuff you can get ONE THING that you want…..maybe.

Imagine the army of salespeople for all of the various wholesale outfits trying to get their hands on the one model that everyone on the planet wants. They get to make up whatever game they want when it comes to these things when it comes to what everyone is trying to get.

Does anyone have a feel for how much better, and in what ways the Ruger Marlins, 1894's-5's are than the Marlin Marlins? I haven't stayed up on those reviews. Like the idiot I can sometimes be - I saw Chris Pratt shooting T-Rex's w/an 1895 and went out and bought one. It's a pre-Ruger.I didn't set that gun up and shoot until just a few weeks ago - and I was pleasantly surprised w/the function and accuracy.

The Ruger Marlins are top notch.

Agree, Got to shoot one a month ago. Fit & finish was awesome & with slick lever and good trigger. Accuracy great. Good rescue for Marlin after Remington trashed the brand.

I really hope they expand into some additional options on chambering. I wouldn't buy another SBL in .45-70, but I would buy one in .450 BM

Iron Mountain and Zander doing the same to Me too. Don't need the extras.

II did find bit of rusty 1894 44 mag 3 weeks ago. Had sat in a case for years. Internally was great.

Worked some magic and cleaned up good, bead blassed and dark blue., bleached out the spots on the wood. Not bad looking, but will always be a ugly truck gun, till my UPS guy saw it. $750.00 in my pocket, doubled my $$$, in 3 weeks.

Ruger Promises a 41 Magnum Mid year !

I pick up at Zanders sometimes for my FFL. THEY really do stiff the people do get the items that sell well. IT is a fact. My FFL got a couple with some other stuff they pushed. The 5.7 is illegal in Illinois so they sold them some other stuff to get the two levers that were already sold.

    It's common.

I deal with it everyday. We call it holding guns hostage.

I did not know that. We only order in stock items don't back order.
