In my 81 years, have been thru this four times. Last time was "Willie" just three months after my sweetheart of 59 years, Diane passed away. The grief almost killed me. I even cut up my Pet Smart card and swore to never get another dog. Then a week before last Christmas my daughter unzipped her jacket and out jumped "Willie Jr." He saved my life.

Jim, at a time like this there is not much i can say or do to ease your grief. I am so sorry for your loss and you have my prayers that you two will meet again. If you don't have another pooch perhaps in time you can take on another. β€”β€”β€”-Ray

I still haven't gotten over the death of my Norwegian Elkhound, Heidi. That was back in 1979.

We do it for them. There are millions of dogs and cats in this country in dire need of a good home.

So sorry for your loss, Jim

So sorry to hear this. We get very emotionally attached to our pets and it is very hard when something like this happens. Just know that you loved him and gave him the best life possible.

It has been a rough 24 hors. Thanks for all the good thoughts and we'll wishes.

I was changing the oil in my daughter's car this afternoon. He would always crawl under the cars and stick his nose in my face. I'm sure going to miss him.
