bit of an update for those wondering, pic heavy
had an attempt to put another stent in for the pancreas to function
better that failed, a small growth and swelling kept them from getting in
same dr was supposed to get hold of me for a follow up but has been
radio silence for a month now ?
another one was supposed to schedule a probe to disrupt and "explode"
some of the tumor cells to get the body to recognize them as invaders so
the immune system would work better against them, no word from them
either, but was supposed to be scheduled after the stent was in
if they aborted because of the stent failure you would think they would
at least pick up the phone and let you know !?
so Monday will start calling all involved and start raising a bit of
hell to find out what the hell is going on
trying to get work that has been here forever finished while i can, even
though i cant sit at the bench for long at a time, and more stuff keeps
showing up
first i "inherited" a model 99 that is a pile of rust, but the kid has
wanted one for ages so...
and now one to be fixed "even if it can only be a wall hanger", an old
muzzle loader double shotgun that is wellrusted, "something" blocking
both barrels about 6" in, (i think might be mud wasp nests) and the
stock is splintered like someone used it as a club !
he knows it is last on the list of people already waiting and will get
to it IF i am able
pics of the double that came in, some people must think i am a miracle worker, so will try to keep that rep if i can get to it…
if anyone has any info on these, so far the only thing that can be read is "London" would appreciate hearing it

When the wood dries out it shrinks and it is impossible to glue the splits for a tight fit. Then it requires Epoxy to fill the gaps. The metal can be cleaned up by wire brushing or rust remover. It is not a high quality piece and just depends on how much time you want to spend on it. Good luck.

Good to hear from you Keith, Yeah, I would get on the phone and find out what's going on. The best rust remover I have found is something called Metal Rescue. I get it at a local auto parts store. Keep us all updated.

Are you going to scope it.
A little bit of glass bedding might help the groups if it's not printing correctly.
I had one of them Double barrel oldies few years ago. I found out it was a shotgun that was only issued to Confederate officers as a carry gun for their own protection and for protection when riding in a officers wagon with a driver. I happened to see it's cloned mate in a Civil War museum in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Mine was still loaded and I did not find the box it came in. I had suspected it was still loaded and I had it in a padded vise outside in the yard and I was wearing a welding helmet and heating and cooling the nipples for removal when it belched and discharged/vomited. I sold it to a guy that plays soldier in Civil war re-enactments. It was the real deal. I found it sealed up in the wall of an old house that was being re-modeled in Fayetteville, Ar area. It appeared that it had been discharged few times into some Yankees.
It was purposely hidden, but couple boards could be easily removed for access when needed.
