    I had no idea what a lek was when I read the topic of this post. I was thinking something entirely different.

    I would love to see a lek, now that I know what it is!!!!!😁

    kind of like the prairie chicken that the wild ones vanished decades ago but they were around when I was a kid. The lek which I know nothing about looks impressive and would enjoy some hours observing the species. Thanks for the info.

    Years ago I watched a Ruffed Grouse drumming. A fox heard him to and rushed in and killed him while I watched.

    There are several good leks in eastern Colorado. Most are closely monitored by the DOW. Some offer tours during the mating season, which is right now.
