I guess buying it in CD format would provide me with some new targets. I can't imagine wanting it in any other form or for another purpose.

I listened to her rendition of "Jolene" for about 40 seconds. BeeOnce has changed the lyrics.

She is quite a country star, reminds me of Sons of the Pioneers singing "Cool Water." You should buy this new CD I think it is a real classic.

I imagine that her singing country would be like John Wayne singing opera, I don't really want to hear either one.

I just listened to it. I don't expect I will listen a second time.

Let's go "Worst Rock/Pop Song of All-Time" - or does that deserve its own post and thread?

"I bet it's right up there with "Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs" from Marty Robbins"

I would say it is right up there with El Paso.

"A wild young cowboy came in, wild as the west Texas wind

Dashing and daring, a drink he was sharing

With wicked Selena, the girl that I loved…"

Yes, Beyonce really has the feel for the country classics. Maybe she could re-do "Me and Bobby McGee."

I talked with my son about this. Here's the thing, he said country music is the only thing that's selling these days. So that explains some of this. Myself, I think all of radio country is crap.

A local guy had some big success in Nashville as a songwriter. His songs were done by Conway, George Strait an others. He told me the fairies had taken over the country music business.

For grins, take a look at the analysis of Beyonce's 'country music" album in the above link written by a young woman from Brooklyn.

I'll listen to it when the Boston Symphony Orchestra version hits the market.

That is if I'm still alive by then.

WTF? That there gal is a Texan! She done growed up on country music. She might not have gotten richer than all the redneck critics on this here board singin' country, but now she is back to her roots, and Dolly approves. OK, I don't have her album either, but my idea of country music fossilized about the time of Patsy Cline, Ernest Tubb and Ray Price.

And to think Taylor Swift sings country, NOT.

But I did see where she just topped the billionaire list.
