I ordered the greatest Western today.
"Wild Wild West" with Will Smith. I wonder if he got jobs after slapping Chris Rock? I also wonder if he did at a deep discount from his pre-slap prices?

Forgot the spaghetti movies, Few Dollars More, Hand Full of Dollars. Hard to beat those 2.
Then there is Josie Wales, Hang em High, Joe Kidd

"City Slickers"….another western comedy.

"Three Amigos" was pretty good. I always thought Chevy was funny asking if there was any other foods besides Mexican at a table in Mexico.
Butchdog3 - Adam Sandler makes a hit or miss movies but that's Western I haven't seen yet. Also I thought it was a parody of "Hateful 8".

the guy who did the nobody/ trinity movies was almost as big a star as john wayne back in his country, I think he was terrence hill??? did a lot of funny westerns and one of the best fast draw scenes I remember was in a bar as he drew his pistol, them put it back slapped a guy and then drew again pointing the pistol in his face. I know they probubly sped up the film, but he still had to be pretty fast…….

Going just from memory, he had a very smart horse. He'd catch a good nap being pulled along on a drag ( travois) and his horse knew where to take him!
P.S. I had to look up travois. 😉

Hateful Eight should not be watched with ladies and children around and really ought not be watched by anyone.
I like My Name is Nobody, Tombstone, and Mclintock.
I haven't had a chance to watch Hateful Eight yet.
Bone Tomahawk, on the other hand, is a PTSD simulator.

Gunn, Don't watch it.

From movies, Winchester '73. From TV, Gene Autry Show or Lone Ranger. Maybe The Texan.

Watched it and it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. A little better than "Undead or Alive: A Zombedy" a western zombie movie. So the DVD had a director commentary and there I learned he did "Men In Black" movies and "Addams Family" movies. The way folks talked he would be on the streets directing pigeons. Also how they got Kenneth Branagh I'll never know. Then there was Ted Levine heard his voice before recognizing his face under all that make up.
Now I think of it "Jonah Hex" and "Wild Wild West" might make a double feature. If seeing WWW twice is enough for a very long time.
