National Collegiate Clay Bird Finals in San Antonio.
This young lady breaks 95/100 in skeet. She’s a junior in college and is missing her left arm at the elbow.
Special forearm helps her close the action. Note the balance point is just forward of the trigger guard.
Brings a tear of admiration for her dedication.

When I see someone like that with tons of dedication and perseverance, it gives me hope for the future! I bet she succeeds at whatever she has planned for the future. Thanks for reminding me that there are still a lot of good kids out there. Bob

One of my friends has a daughter that competes in college trap/skeet and was on the Olympic shooting team. He said he could have sent another two kids to college for what she has spent in shells over the years. I asked him about sponsors, you would think that the manufacturers would be itching to get their products to these kids....but the sponsors these days just toss a little nugget of support to people, not a full barrage of funding or supplies.
That is one VERY talented gal. I'm sure she will go far in anything she decides to do.

That’s a shame that the young ladies school offers little support.
The young man to her right is the son of a fellow I’ve known since he was in the third grade. I was a mentor to both he and an uncle.
He was the gold metal winner last year and silver metal winner this year in trap doubles. All shells for the entire team are furnished along with room/board when competing and practice.

When I was shooting regular practice trap I was using 40,000 rounds that I got in trade for some machining jobs.
I was using 200 rounds a day shooting 5 days a week. It really made a difference. I didn't have to reload for quite some time. But a progressive reloader was the answer to continuing practice and the Winchester AA hulls held up over time.
