I did the same thing yesterday with my wife except with a slow drain instead of a dryer. She learned how to clean the hair out of the bathroom sink drain! Yay!

Had to do the same about 10 days ago, not a fun job and hopefully not something I have to do again any time soon.

Sounds like you and NeoBlackdog each got a good woman. Iโ€™d keep โ€˜em.

That is one of those jobs that I procrastinate doing until I start seeing dryer lint accumulating on the back deck next to the outside dryer vent.

I just changed out both the washer and dryer with brand new stackables to make room for a water softener system. All new dryer vent means I can procrastinate a bit longer! ๐Ÿ˜

What does she need you for?

That's the beauty of it. She doesn't, but she wants me.

I told mine to do that also after she cleaned the bathroom, floor, wash my clothes, fix me some breakfast, stain the deck, pull weeds out of the patio area and then wash the car and do it quickly! I then woke up from a deep sleep/ nightmare.

Seriously considering a pedestal to put the dryer on .Getting harder and harder into bend down low enough to reach all the way in.

I mentioned above that I replaced my side by side washer, dryer with a set of these from GE. I needed the space for a water softener. My wife just loves the ease of loading and unloading the new units! They're not as pretty as the red Maytag front loaders I got rid of but function rules over good looks every time!

This might be too late for ya, but a lot of those front loaders are designed to stack, washer over dryer. You might've used the old ones without having to get the new stuff.
