Taurus No Longer Installs "Safety Lock" On Revolver Hammers
Maybe it was general knowledge but it was news to me.
I was at the NRA Convention in Dallas, and I noticed at the Taurus booth that none of their revolvers had a safety lock built into the hammer. I asked about it, and the rep there said the company decided to do away with them.
A little later I noticed that Smith & Wesson still has the safety lock on most of their revolvers, and suggested to their rep that S&W get with the program.

One less thing to break, good on Taurus.

I learned from my work days, once you put a safety measure in place, it's seldom removed.
Good on Taurus but I dont think S&W will follow suit. Lawyers, don't ya know.

When I was a kid, if someone mentioned a safety on a revolver, you knew they had no idea what they were talking about.
There were exceptions, such as the old 'lemon-squeezer' S&Ws, but they were few and far between.
The only revolvers I have with safeties are the Heritage guns and I actually do use them. It looks odd but does make sense on a single action gun which I may fumble and drop on its hammer.

Smith has dropped it on a few of their J frames hopefully other models will follow

I don't recall ever seeing one of those on my Glocks…

Sorry to jump in Talking about safeties.
Just on the off chance any know what this may be?
Came in some Gun Parts. Key way too small for anything I can find. Not Taurus, Walther, or Smith. Nothing I can find in any schematics. Just about 7/8" long.

Does it accept a handcuff key?

"Does it accept a handcuff key?"
Way too small. Whole key way is only 3/16 wide.
Just sitting on the desk, holding down some receipts.
