WTF re: Account Validation
Hi guys. Sorry in advance for the info dump but can anyone help me with the following scenario?
- May 5: I submit my bank account information for account validation.
- May 6: I receive an email that "Our records show that you added the following bank account on file and submitted it for validation…You still need to take a few steps to complete the validation. Within three business days, GunBroker.com will make a deposit for less than $1 into your account. You need to confirm the amount deposited into your account and enter the deposit amount on the Account Validation page. Account ownership is immediately verified, your account is validated, and the process is complete."
- May 9: No deposit has been made.
- May 10: I submit a user request stating: "I got your email saying that you were depositing a validation amount into my account. That was four days ago. No amount has been deposited."
- May 10: I receive an email stating "Your request (2137947) has been received and is being reviewed by our support staff."
- May 12: No update.
- May 12: I receive an email stating: "It’s been a few days since we’ve heard from you. This is an automated message to remind you that we’re looking forward to your response on this ticket. If we don’t hear back from you soon, we’ll assume it’s safe to mark this issue as resolved."
- May 12: I Respond with "What's going on here? I sent you the [above] email, saying that I never received any deposit into my account. You never responded. Now I’m getting this email saying that you’re “looking forward to my response.” What response? What am I supposed to be responding to? I’m still awaiting YOUR response."
- May 14: Still Nothing back.
Is it always this clunky? What am I missing? I still haven't had anything deposited into my account, nor has my request been responded to. Should I just close my account here and go somewhere else or is there something else I should be doing? Thanks.

I got an automated response on a ticket a couple days ago. It said they were waiting on a reply, but it was already taken care of. I think the system automatically sends those things out no matter the status of things. I don't know what is going on with your particular situation or why its taking longer than usual, but the email you got saying they were waiting for a reply is probably just the system being goofy.
