Stupid is Everywhere!
I've known of this to happen at self service gas stations... but at an International airport? Yesterday evening, I dropped my wife off at the airport for a weekend trip on Allegient Airlines. Everyone had boarded and everything seemed fine, when an announcement was made asking everyone to deplane. It seems that an employee who refueled the plane had forgotten to remove the hose, and critical damage ensued. Oops! It took about 2 hours to locate and prep another plane for departure.

I bought a new '69 Vette in Chicago and drove it home to Indy. I stopped at my local Shell station and ask the attendant to fill it up. He inserted the hose and promptly tripped over it. It drug the nozzle across the rear deck scratching it. The car was 4 hours old. Think I was a little irritated?

Good one, chiefr. That is Major League stupid.
I have to watch for a half hour, every time I go to the gym, there is a big tv right in front of my bicycle. No sound, thank God, but it is still pretty bad with subtitles.

This stuff happens with all levels of employees that are working on the equipment these days.
We had all boarded a plane last week for Europe. Then the Captain came on and said the accumulator was broken. They tried to fix it for two hours and then quit said it could not be fixed. This thing is used to dampen surges in the hydraulic system.
Reviewing the info for an accumulator it usually does not fail suddenly. There are usually signs of failure before an actual failure.
So if you have mechanics signing off saying the equipment is fine you can only imagine the level of employee working on the ramps.3 -
I saw some amigos painting an old two story house. They bungee corded two extension ladder and propped them in the bed of a pickup to reach the peak.

Now this is stupid. A guy for fun ordered a triple cheeseburger from McDonalds. He had it delivered by DoorDash.
He told McD to hold the catchup, mustard, pickle, cheese, burger and the bun. Yes, hold everything. DoorDash driver called guy to confirm order when he got to McD. Guy said yes hold everything.
McD put a box in the bag.
When guy got the order from the DoorDash driver, he got a sealed bag with a seal that said “sealed for freshness”, inside the bag was a box for a McCrispy sandwich not the triple cheeseburger he get ordered.
