A Guy I Know "Built" A Jeep.......
This is a CJ5 he has had for 30 years. It has went through overhauls/changes over the years. Here is his latest he did last year. He shortened the back portion of the CJ5, lengthened the frame and added a shortened and narrowed 1950s Chevrolet pickup box.
Running gear pans out this way: 4.3L Chevy V6, Turbo 400 trans. with NP205 transfer case. Disc brake Ford 9" rear end, and mid 70s Int'l Scout Dana 44 front. This is all topped off with hand painted "side art" done by his SO/girlfriend.

That's pretty cool! Love the Snoopy graphic. What's he got wedged in there under the hood?

Congrats to your buddy
I seem to remember as a young kid, advertisments you could buy "parts kits " from surplus goverment sites
I remember the adds saying you may Have to buy seveal kits to build a whole jeep but every part needed, could be fojnd and they were cheap

I like the wall art behind the engine bay, a shop ain't a shop without any art……like the Jeep too ! 👍️

The art is lookin' kind of peaked. Most of it is from the '90s. Need some new stuff…..

I either completely missed that or he added it later!

Looks better than a new Gladiator. Perfect color, too.

I like the grease pit. They are a fire trap, but I would like to have one like that.

i like it and am inspired to do something similar.
Ford 300 straight 6 or a Chrysler slant six would be my choice. And manual transmission.
