it’s embarrassing what’s going on. I know they are doing it because of all the sex scandals. Thankfully that never happened in my troop. I had a great experience in the Boy Scouts.

My experiences in scouting growing up in VA taught me a lot about the things I still love (camping, hiking, canoeing, etc.). I loved it. Eagle Scout credential also did a lot for me in college applications and, later, Officer Candidate School. Truly sad what that organization has become.

Truly sad what this county is becoming

As a young kid I wanted to join but my parents told me we can't afford the uniforms and accessories and no time to be hauling me to meetings any way

It was Just another child hood dream shattered

Gender Study merit badge in the future? I wonder what past badges will be deleted to make way for the new?

I was in Boy Scouts, and Explorers for 6 years. I had a great time, with the weekend campouts, and the summer camp, which was for a week. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

the great institutions of this country are being destroyed by a passing fad that will live only through the destruction wrought in lives and traditions.

No scouts out in the country where I get up. We learned most of that stuff by living it and trial and error . Helped that everyone's father's were country farmers and war vets . Still sad to see it's decline .

Going as planned by the democrats. Wonder how much longer we will have a Constitution if democrats keep getting elected.

I was Cub Scout then a Boy Scout, taught me a lot of things all of which I still remember and love.

I'm absolutely sure that it would have genuinely sucked if there were girls in the mix. Let boys be boys and girls be girls, why take something that works and destroy it because some adult thinks it's unfair?

I hate what we are becoming as a country and a people.

Was some of the best years of my life.

BS Oath: On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to god and my country and to obey the scout law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.

BS Law: A scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent.

I look for them to push boys joining the Girl Scouts more than pushing girls to join the Boy Scouts. Totally sad what their trying to push on to kids today.

I still know how to tie a bowline. Learned it at age 11 in the Boy Scouts. Very useful knot.

Yes Walter, felt the same way when I was a member. I still remember the oath & law.

Expect woke democrats to remove the word" Reverent" from the law and "morally Straight" from the oath if they haven't already.

It's a sad day... I never was a girl scout but I was a Police Explorer for 4 years and an Ambulance Explorer for a little while. Being a police explorer was a huge part of my life and I loved it.

The bowline, clove which and taut line hitch are 3 of the knots I learned in the Boy Scouts that I use frequently.

One of my oldest, bestest friends (Rich) has a son whose going for Eagle Scout. When this kid was about 8-9 years old, he was intolerable. Whiney, bratty, and mouthy. Rich got him into scouts and the boy dived in with both feet. He's a good kid these days, the kind you would enjoy talking to. Rich credits Boy Scouts for a lot of that.

Really disappointing that The Boy Scouts have taken this pathetic, bow-down-to-the-mob, easy route instead of holding fast to their own ideals and fixing what was broken.
