I got her in the rotation in my car (yes on cassette). So I got curious to see if she was still alive since her last album (to me) in early 2000s. Looks like she put out two more since then and become a mother. Good for her. I would've never thunk that. So looks like I'll be getting those CDs.

I remember Sadie Hawkins Dance quite well from my teenage years ,,,,,😎
It was named after the “homely daughter of Dogpatch's earliest settler” who “failed to catch a husband” (yes, really). So, Sadie's dad gathered all the single men of Dogpatch and let the single women chase them, marrying whoever they caught.

even in grade school they would have dances for it
We had to learn square dancing way back then in school ,also LOL .No one's feelings were devastated or law suits over it
