One of my projects was to design a better jack to lift my Cessna 170 wheels off the ground safely for maintenance. I was successful and even patented it. I allowed a friend’s company to market them, build them and sell them. I get a royalty for each one and it helps to support my other hobbies.

My AV-JACK has treated me well and helped countless others safely work on their airplanes.

This is a current project, but there are hundreds like it in the past.

Bathroom remodel. This is a picture of the shower pan and waterproofing wall board during the 24 hour leak test. Can't wait to get back home and start putting tile up.

New vanity I built with granite countertop. The doors and drawer parts are still being finished.

The last one was a '47 CJ2A, that I got roadworthy again for a buddy of mine a couple years ago. The body was, and still is, mostly rotten, but I've done a bunch of patching. The serial number on the block dates it to 1945, and other than taking the timing cover off to check the timing chain, I don't think it has ever been apart, and hums along like a sewing machine. Blew my mind, considering how rough the rest was. Some new brake shoes, lines, and a bit of wiring, and it was mostly whole again.

Sure, you still come away from each ride an inch shorter, but I guess the jackhammer effect of the suspension is part of the charm.

Got so wrapped up in it that I forgot to take any pics, but if you picture an old blue/red/yellow/gray/blue again Jeep that sat out about 40 years, you get the idea.

40 caliber swamped Green Mountain barrel. Built in 2011.

50 caliber rifle built in 2004.

    45 caliber, built around 2017.

60 caliber, for moose & squirrel 😁 It is rifled so you have to bark them pesky squirrels! Built around 2018

Inletting that side plate was a lot of fun!!

Butt plates take a lot of time and patience.

Extra fancy trigger guard. Cast from an original Germanic Jaeger rifle.

Lots of wood removal left to go before the sliding wood patchbox is made and installed. A super grade plank of very hard curly ash for the stocking.

No pictures to show. I made a air filter mount to put a large capacity air filter on an 056 Stihl Chainsaw. Got an honorable mention at the Intermountain Sthil Dealer's Conference. That was in a time and place long ago.

We upgraded our back porch last month. The old porch was sinking and getting a little weather worn…

Our daughters house. An “extra” door coming out of her kitchen onto a terrible wooden porch and steps. With a stack stone retaining wall that was crumbling. So I demo’d the porch and steps and the retaining wall. built new retaining wall to match the existing retaining wall to the left . Framed in the window and hired a guy to brick the wall. I still need to replace the porch light with a security light and get her asphalt driveway repaved
