Car-a-be-an Emphasis on "be". Been that way for my 80 years. Some of what I think are "la'de'dahs" pronounce it with emphasis on "rib", but that might be a regional thing I don't know about. 😉

Probably depends a little bit on what part of the country you’re from. For me it would be.

    Carib bEan

I grew up in Florida and it's always been the way Don pronounces it but now, for reasons unknown to me, it's now verbalized "ca-rib-be-un". I don't like the change and I will keep "mispronouning" it the way I have my entire life. :-)

Since there are two "b" 's.........I've always thought it to be Ca-rib'-be-an.

But then, I also have always thought that the correct phrase is........

    "I could NOT care less."

Self-proclaimed "Wordsmith" slick Willie Clinton didn't think so..........figures🙄.

My daughter agrees with me............a pet peeve of hers also.

Cara be ann. Like a three word name. Funny seeing the map Haiti would fall under where Rum comes from. I wonder if there are any Hatian Rum at Bev Mo?

I have no plans to go there, so I have no need to pronounce it.

I've said it both ways all my life depending upon the mood I guess… as for the Texas Gulf town, it is "YOU-sten" and farther west of there is "San Ann-tone"….😁
