Winchester 94 locking blocks

Not many people have factory specs data. You would also need to know the specs of the milled slots in the receiver, assuming both parts wear during operation. Excess headspace in a 94 Winchester would be an unusual condition, I think. And may not be a very important issue. Good luck.

I think you mean locking block thickness, not width. It is common for the block thickness and groove width to wear on 94s that have seen a lot of use without proper lubrication. Thicker blocks are available to correct excess wear but I don't recall the source. Do an online search for gun part suppliers.

That said, if what you are seeing is some fired primer protrusion instead of being flat with the case head, that is very common in 94s, especially older ones in .30WCF (30-30) caliber. Try different brands of ammo, and different bullet weights and see if it changes.

Head space is set by the case rim.

This thickness can vary with different brands of ammo.
