People who don't know they can't see
Went too the range today with an old friend. He's not a gun person but he built a AR 15 and bought a 10/22, so I said let's go to the range and sight them in. He could not even make out the 50 yr target. That brought his problem home, he went home and made his first eye appointment in 12 years he'll be safer on the road now also.

It does sort of sneak up on you especially if you do not see the Eye Doc regularly.

I was riding in the car with my aunt….when I realized she couldn't read the BILLBOARDS I started pointing out what I could read. She was shocked I could see road signs, bumper stickers on cars and saw all kinds of things she couldn't. She made an appointment and got glasses soonafter. She can see perfectly up close, but far away is a whole different story.

When my wife and I were fist dating we took a ride with one of her aunts very nice old gal as asher family were jushgood old southern folk
Any way as we left town on a staye highway ,She was driving on the berm in the gravel as much as on the road
She said I wish they would fix this road it's terrible
We just smiled at each other did not say a thing

I forget to put my hearing aids in many days and never notice till I go out of the house and can't hear what people are saying clearly, girls at the local Piggly wiggly have got used to it and ask me now if I have my hearing aids or not, I guess if I say no the must say all kinds of things about me……..

That's an Idea! I'll Take Eye sight Camera to the Gun Club.
I should set a date at the next Pot Luck. And take the Eye Sight Camera from the Lions Club and do a testing of the members (it's free).
It can pick up 7 different problems with the eyes and I can print out a from that is almost a good as the optometrist.
It prompted my wife to get surgery done on her eyes.
