    It's too bad we have to have the government mandate that which we should be smart enough to do ourselves. As bad as Kapersky may be, I'd wager dimes to donuts that Tik Tok is even worse.

    That would be a very safe bet, good sir.

    Kaspersky was actually quite good as an AV program. What went on underneath might be a whole different animal, though.

    If you aren't using Linux, you're vulnerable. That's the bottom line. There might come a time when Linux has more market share than Windows, and then hackers will switch to attacking Linux. But that is not true now.

    TikTok and this are being banned for one reason only ,,,,,, our government has no control over them .

    What is the mechanism that they will use to enforce the ban? Does the government have so much control of the internet that they can block, at will, a certain company from anywhere in the world from crossing our border, even though it is electronically?

    Well yeah. China does it, Russia does it. I have little use for either and don't do tic toc. In fact this is the only social media I do.

    I figure the software will first be removed from and then banned from all servers located within the United States. And after removal from US servers other countries would probably restrict sale to US buyers because of the ban.

    Of course, a ban like this only slows people down because with a VPN, you can appear in any geographic location in the world and download the software from there. And there are nefarious ways to get the software if you feel like going that route (please don't).
