    I wonder if they did the rock-paper-scissors and those two lost? Be funny if Houston piped in AC/DCs "Highway To Hell" if and when they come back.

    Okie743, Keep it from just flying off I believe. I read that all the Boeing name was removed everywhere before the crew would board.

    I believe there are saboteurs at work for Boeing. And many other manufacturing facilities who haven't been called upon to activate yet.

    elubsme that is a fascinating idea. I thought Boeing was just getting incompetent due to DEI hiring practices, which Boeing execs admit have been in full force for several years.

    However it could be deliberate. Sabotage.

    @elubsme

    Sabotage? To what end? Are you thinking outsiders trying to bugger up the works or an inside job for some reason?

    If these two astronauts make it back to earth, I wonder if they will ever climb into another Boeing product.

    Being salaried, probably not. Hopefully they get a laundry allowance.

    One more reason NASA is a bloated government failure

    Individuals in positions requiring competencies, which are set forth by the AA, OCHCO, that meet a critical need, are eligible for a bonus of not more than 50 percent of the annual rate of basic pay (including comparability payments authorized under 5 U.S.C. § 5304, Locality-based Comparability Payments, at the beginning of the service period multiplied by the service period.

     Individuals in positions not requiring competencies defined as critical needs are eligible for a bonus of up to 25 percent of the employee's annual rate of basic pay

    My guess is the delay is caused by NASA wanting to return the Starliner uncrewed and have Moonraker Musk send a Dragon up to bring them back and Boeing is pushing for a crewed return.

    The PR kerfuffle is something Boeing can ill afford at the moment. Better to take the slight risk of a few lives to save the jobs of 10s of thousands.

    It worked (sort of) with the 737 Max.

    Wow austin20, what a gig! Is this program only for NASA? I have a good friend that was USAF and now has worked for FAA. I wonder if she gets a similar bonus.

    Not sure, I just googled NASA bonus and that was what popped up.. Given their level of work I hope no one there is getting a bonus.
