The Perfect Storm
I put a radio in my tractor a few days ago. This afternoon I went out and mowed some grass. I got tired and decided to go up to the house and get something to eat. I pulled the tractor into the barn and tried to open the door, but it would not budge. I was trapped in the tractor. I got to looking around and saw the radio antenna was trapped under the drip rail, but I couldn't get the door open to free it.
Then I decided to call my wife, but my phone that I had just charged up just a couple of hours ago was dead as a doornail.
So then I backed the tractor out of the barn and went around to the front of the house and beeped an SOS to get my wife's attention, it took a while but she finally came out. I showed her what was wrong and tried to get her to move the antenna, but she didn't have enough strength to pull it loose. So I had her go around and drop down the grass deflector so I could get out the other door, Which was an exercise in futility. On the right side is the lever for the Front end loader. I had to invent a few ballet moves to get out that side. Then I went around and flipped the antenna out and all was back to normal. We have a bazillion trees and one of them must have pushed the antenna
into that position.
I envisioned my wife coming out to the barn and finding my skeletal remains in a few weeks.

Run a tie rope from antenna to opposite side to prevent this from happening again. Glad you got out.

LOL! been there, done that! similar situation in the cab of one of the JDs, when the weather temp is just right, the plastic door handle will just bend and not unlatch the door from the inside, no other way without breaking something to get it to open except calling wife to use the push button from the outside. After a few times doing that, I just removed the inside cover over the door handle and can then get better leverage to open the lever…. not fun when it happens to you, but a fun story to tell others…

Antenna wedged; ceil phone dead. You just experienced Murphy’s Law. Sometimes all you can do is just shake your head and chuckle.

Use duct tape to tuck it back.
Let's see if this don't go poof.
