new family membr today
My youngest son and his wife
about a hour ago gave my wife a grand daughter ( Opel )
my wife and DIL have been excited since they found out it was a girl some months back a boy would have just as welcome of course but a girl is a bonus for them
that makes two grand kids both by my youngest sons and his wife
1st one is just over 3 yrs old and a amazing kid for his age
for many years my wife and I thought we may not live long enough to see any grand kids
and we are sure glad , we were wrong .
one more addition it to the story is my DIL's dads birthday also sadly he passed away a few years ago RIP Rick
and also my MIL passed away on this date some yeas ago RIP Mom

Eather way it's the same sound
It's just a old name that was popular years ago the the three women I knew growing up are all dead and I never mentioned them to my kids
I never questioned how they picked the name just they wanted a older name to use . by the way their sons name is Gunner

Sold a cannon to the high school? Man that's scary if the cannon goes "boom" the wrong way. They best put a GPS and a camera on that just in case a scrapper comes a hauling.
If your kid has more kids have them name one girl Gunner. Eventually she'll be Aunty Gunner.
