I did have a coworker years ago after a few to many would toss a bar chair across the room for who knows why ? and get toosed our as the chair hit the wall or floor or another customer
he would also just flat out ask the gals one question direct to the point I can not repeat on here I dodnt think he ever got any takers even drunk girls had some morals

Cannot recall the last time I got to the fourth one. Not virtue signalling here, I just came to the conclusion I like a drink but really hate being smashed. No fun when "Raaaalph buys a Buuuuick in Euuuurope…"

I am Welsh. My countryman Richard Burton had a drinking problem. He had admitted that, at age 25, when he was a star on the London stage, doing Shakespeare as Hamlet, he was drinking 2 fifths of vodka a day.
By the sixties, as one of the most famous actors in Hollywood, with the Elizabeth Taylor romance, Richard was knocking down 3 fifths of vodka a day. Good God, to drink 3 bottles a day you have to start off at 9 am with 4 or 5 ounces of vodka with breakfast. In most of the movies you saw him in, like Where Eagles Dare with Clint Eastwood, Burton was drunk.Richard Burton died at age 57 of liver failure.

My brother drank a gallon of vodka a day. As he was being admitted to the hospital, his last words were, "bring me a bottle.". He died two days later at 41 years old. Don

I start telling people what I think around the 2nd one. Good thing they all stopped listening after the first.😁
Whiskey was an acquired taste for me. Dad always had some swill around and my brother and I stole a drink once as teenagers. It was awful and I never had another drop until about 5-6 years ago. Johnnie Walker Blue (not my tab, someone else's!) made me realize that really good whisky doesn't make you wince when you drink it.

I keep a bottle of JW Blue in my bar. But, if if you like scotch the 15 year old Dalmore sitting beside it is a better scotch (IMHO)

Also with age you can say what you want to say without the whiskey.

Yes! And don't forget that with age, you can also hear what you want to hear too!
My lip-reading abilities are comparable to watching Mystery Science Theater 2000! 🤣

Don, that is brutal! He was knocking off more booze than Richard Burton. I didn't think that was possible.
Your brother drank himself to death at age 41. That is really tough to deal with, I'm sure.

I don't remember.

I like the line from Ron White's Tater Salad story. "I apparently had the right to remain silent, but not the ability."

I went booze free April 3, 1996….. Had a family member decide he was an alcoholic and I told him if he quits, I quit so he would always have me to call if he needed to….. he has stayed sober since then….
In my younger days, a little too much spirts usually lead to fisticuffs….. None of that ever turned out well ….

Well to be honest, I enjoy my beer… daily, but if you have a problem then it is best you quit, But I don't believe it is anything to brag about or virtue signal… My opinion, yours can and will very, Mean while I will enjoy a cold one.

I checked with the wife unit and she has assured me that I am always in the wrong, no matter how much booze.

For years I had a beer with my Friday night pizza. I quit that last fall.
