Weirdities
Other thread got me to thinking about weird stuff. Here's mine from this last weekend. Driving through Rogers Arkansas on my way to Walmart to do the kids grocery pick up and drove past the scene below.
Got a pic on the way back through. Tree companies are in the area, still cleaning up from the tornado that ripped through there.
Head looks like it was removed with a chainsaw. Cleanly sliced off like what you would see in a horror movie. With the heat I'm assuming it was already fly blown by the time someone found it.

That's what I have found a few times in front of our place. It averages about once a year that I have to hook up the yard tractor and haul a carcass from the shoulder of the road back to the edge of the fields for the coyotes, foxes, buzzards and other critters to dispose of. Since I can't see the end of the driveway from the house, they can lay there for a day or so before I notice them and if it is a buck chances are someone will have taken the head.
On a side note, I hope those tree companies are doing a better job than those around here. Yesterday, they were doing some annual trimming and removals for the power company between our place and the nearest, 2 1/2 miles, village. At 12:25 our power went out for about 4 hours. Power company website said it was a fallen tree problem. Yep, you guessed it - the tree butchers dropped one on a main line! I wonder if they got paid overtime to clean it up? 😁 Bob

I could smell it with the windows up. No way would I touch it. Probably would have exploded like a rotten egg. Hurt my soul to see a carcass that big with the straps still attached. I'm thinking they would have been bigger around than my arm and as long as my leg.

Around here it's the game commission that cuts off the heads. They have a contractor that comes and picks up the carcass.

Weirdities It took a cup of coffee this AM to see this title clearly! Almost mistook it for an encounter at Hooters! 😲

Unfortunately, we see sights like that around here from time to time…. The ones that really irk me are the ones that died somewhere else, have their head cuts off and are dumped near our place or in the area.
