People with newer rides
All y'alls with rides that has automatic headlights that turn on can you turn them off? You know when you want to stalk someone in "stealth" mode. I was watching something and the thought crossed my mind.

2009 Toyota, no, couldn't turn off unless in Park and park brake on. Same with 2018 Honda.

My old chevy pickups had / have day running lights
After a few internet searches on YouTube some years ago , I just had to upplung a module under a the dash easy to get to and no impact on anything else
Try looking up your car on the internet about disabling your running lights
But as you are living in california, I will guess it's a 20-year prison sentence for anyone to it

Most have a way to turn off. Sometimes its a series of button pushing.

2022 Lexus, 2023 F150. Pretty sure both have an off option

Mine has off, running lights, auto-off, always-on. Plus when the lights are on and you turn the wheel far enough, the lights pivot that way so you can more clearly see what you're about to run into.

'22 Ford Explorer. Headlights have on, off, and auto(matic). My choice.

My 2004 GMC 2500HD has the automatic lights but I can shut 'em off anytime.

On the 'older' Chevy pickups, you could click the parking brake one click and the running lights shut off. Used this often to 'sneak' into deer stands.

2018 RAV4, set to auto or manual. Can turn on/off as needed.

William81Â - I don't like/love anyone enough to stalk.
I was watching a movie and they were tailing someone and I noticed the head lights coming on when they started the ride. So I thought with the newer cars tailing someone more difficult.
