    I knew lots of guys who threw he neck away. I found a delicious way to cook the neck. Coat the neck with several packages of powdered Lipton Onion Soup mix.

    Get ten pieces of raw bacon and lay them over the neck. Wrap the neck completely with aluminum foil. Slow roast at 225 for 5 hours. mmmmmmm good. Makes you house smell great for hours.

    I was taught by my grandfather how to bone out the neck an make a rolled roast. When put into a crock pot to slow cook all day. It was melt in your mouth. Most of the less favorable parts can be made into tasty meals,with that special tool. Remember the crock pot an slow cooking can save most meat.

    I figured with all kinds of stuff in the brain and spinal cord that could mess you up bad was the reason why folks tossed the necks.

    Whatever bacteria, or baby worms may be in wild game meat, if you heat it up to 200 degrees all these dangerous parasites will die.

    If you toss a neck you need your head examined! If nothing else bone it out and grind the meat.
