I agree. I hope and pray it works. If Trump doesn't win this go around, then we are done. With the damage that's already done, even if Trump wins.......the first 2 years will be bad. All the chickens are coming home to roost, chickens being all the bad things the dems have set in action!

In many elections over the years, a major factor in picking the VP candidate is for the candidate to be from a state that the president candidate needs to carry. Vance is from Ohio. Republicans always need to carry Ohio to win. Nuff said.

Never heard of the guy. Listening to him spout his history last night, seems like Trump (Repub party) picked a guy who would appeal to the working class to offset the 'big bucks' Trump presentation.

The venue only holds 3800 so I doubt I'd get in. Local politicians and local Republican party people and their families and friends will take all the seats. He will probably fly into Roanoke anddrive down I-81to Radford, VA

Taken from a book JD wrote and directed by Ron Howard. A bit hard for me to follow due to the flash backs.
I first watched it a few years ago, talk about from rags to riches. Makes me proud to be a hillbilly.
Kinda spooky, pay close attention and you will see the future in his life. Coincidence?
The actual book is sort of a look into the future also, and it all could come true.

I finally got a chance to watch his RNC speech. The fella is good on the stage.
But I especially like his response to being called out for his anti-woke stance when vetting would-be American ambassadors. Instead of backtracking, instead of making excuses or justifications, he simply responded "they got me" and moved on.
And that is how it should be. You have values and ideals and you stay with them regardless.
I like this guy as VP. Excellent choice by 1-eared Don. 😁

I just googled up several articles on J.D. Vance and Peter Thiel from not necessarily liberal publications like Forbes.
The admittedly seemingly hate-filled Maddow would have us believe Thiel turned Vance from the law and toward venture capital fresh out of college and his first three jobs were failures, then Thiel lined up some contributors and shooed Vance into Congress.
It does sometimes kind of disturbingly seem as if Trump's financial situation may not be as sound as it looks. He has gone bankrupt a few times, and he just got hit with a massive fine. What if it turned out he had been in the pocket of some cabal of billionaires and that's why he only got a few miles of wall built while wasting the money and patience devoted to the task.
If Maddow's analysis is true, it suggests there's a possibility Thiel snatched up Vance out of college and deliberately led him into three disastrous failures in finance in order to have him in his pocket. What if Vance's own firm got some of Vance's own investment capital which was then lost? What if Vance has to do what Thiel and his friends say because he's close to bankrupt and has a ruined finance career?
