Question about Arisaka Type 99 cleaning rod
I have been working on restoring an Arisaka Type 99 that I picked up in horrible shape.
One of the last pieces I needed is the cleaning rod and picked up a new one here on Gunbroker.
The rod arrived and it fit!!
But I have a question, the rod is threaded on one end.
Does anyone know what it threads to? I have spent time looking online and watching a number of videos but I have not had any luck figuring it out.

If I remember correctly, the handle part of the cleaning rod was carried separately in the soldier's pack. Good luck.
