Nooo… Guns are scary and dangerous. I did hang a rape whistle from the mirror in case that 10 speed tranny tries to get outta line.

That motor sounds good when you use it. Rear tires won't last long though.

You can offer up suggestions 'till the cows come home. Just be aware that my wife has veto power. That's why it's silver. I wanted green!

I could have gotten an 8' bed. I opted for the 6'9" because our camper is designed for a short bed. It was originally carried by my 2004 GMC 2500 HD. I like the short boxes because they are just a bit easier to maneuver in tight spaces. This new rig is 20" longer than the GMC due to being a Crew Cab rather than an extended cab.

We had two little surprises when we picked it up. #1 is that we didn't expect to get heated seats in the rear but we did! We thought that was only available with the Lariat Ultimate package which was a $5,000 plus upgrade. We had checked into getting that added later and it would run about $1000 so we dodged a $1000 bullet there. #2 is that we ordered it with the Camper Package which any thinking person would assume would come with the electrical plug in for the camper lights. Nope. You have to order it with the Fifth Wheel package to get the in-bed plug in. What the heck? That little add-on will cost us $200. Should have read things a little better, I guess.

Holy cow is there a lot of room in the back seat area of this Ford! The dog's not gonna know what to do with all that room.

    You did good.

I thought so. It came in at under 70K for the whole enchilada. When we started shopping I was expecting to be around 90K. When we told the salesman we would be writing a check for it I thought he was going to swallow his teeth.

You younger guys start saving NOW! Even if it's only $50 a month, get something going and stick with it. Sacrifice a bit now and you'll live much better when you get older. My wife and I came out alright even though we started a little later. Had I started in my early 20's… Whoo doggy!

Good to know you can still get a 8ft bed, I thought they discontinued them altogether. Glad you got what you wanted!

Do NOT hold yer breath, brother Dog. It'll be a cold day in Phoenix before that happens!

Passed one last week, back bumper almost dragging on road and I could have walked under the front bumper. One the most foolish things I ever saw. But to each their own I guess.

Not sure but may be illegal in many states.
