248 years ago, a group of progressive elitists put forth a declaration of the value of the individual and the inherent equality if not superiority of the individual with or over government.
Some 16 years later this was codified by the most far-reaching recognition of the dignity and worth of the individual in human history in our Constitution.
A happy and thoughtful Independence Day to all. It is a privilege (in addition to a right) to be able to share it with all of you.
