They are pretty.... Evidently I don't have enough to do either.

We brought home a kitten we really didn't need 🥰

It's the reason I no longer buy my pet food and stuff from those "have everything" animal supply stores! 😁

About anything I need for my dogs and cats is had at the local grocery store. I blame the wife for this, as over the years she has done fish (several types), rabbits, chickens, geese, Guinea pigs, and when she started looking seriously at a pot bellied pig, I had to draw the line in the sand. What can I say, I married a farmer's daughter! 😯

We still have a 29 gallon fish tank where there has been a pair of fancy tailed goldfish for at least the past 40 years or so. The recent ones are just about 9 years old.

Fish tanks are a great thing. I do not currently have one but in the past it was great to just sit and watch the fish. Very relaxing and calming. Take advantage of that Kasey !!!!!!!!

Currently rebuilding a brass framed aquarium, custom built for the opening of the St. Louis Zoo reptile building. I did not steal it, I removed it from the construction dumpster when we renovated the building in 1977-78. I removed 11 coats of paint to find brass. I assumed it was steel.

Better double up on your Chewy orders or some of your fish may go missing.

That cat's gonna get wet jumping on top of the plastic lid that's gonna give with a crack. Say is there a light bulb underside of the plastic lid? I hope the power is through a power strip or GFI-ed.

He Dog  - Is that one of those champagne coupe (the short wide glass) looking tank? Saw one long time ago I liked but didn't like the price (read too rich for my blood at the time).

Say did you scrape off the tar yet?

Yosh, It was custom built for the zoo by a German immigrant iron worker/aquarist. In my time there he owned a wholsale/retail aquarium store called Vick's which was his last name. I knew him and he confirmed building it. He built some wrought iron stands which were in the store that were incredible. I am sorry I never took photos.

The tank is a fairly standard 30" x 16" x 16". It is made of angle brass with corner peices and screws and acorn nuts hold it together. I had a custom "mid-century" style stand built for it.

Oh it's one of those. Ones with the fancy brass/bronze rectangle. Does it have lights shaped like shells in the corners angling towards the tank?

30 gallons. Go old school and keep Endlers Livebearers. Basically guppy looking things.

Tank…..but Larry is talking about getting another cat. I'm NOT participating in that nonsense….we have 3 cats now. He wants another MaineCoon…..they are "different" for sure, but that cat box is a dang chore.

I have had cats in the past. I like them. But can't stand the litter box. Mine have been indoor/outdoor for this reason. Sadly……….that shortens the life span.

You know what goes good with a miniature rooster? One of those little pot bellied pigs!
