Hey, glad you're back. Nothing new here. Agree with you on the heat issue, I avoid it too.

Glad your doing OK enjoy your retirement

Over ten years for me retired pace has slowed down

now I wonder how I got so much done when I was working

I can't take the heat and humity like I use to

I change my shirt 3 or 4 times a day it is soaking wet with in a few minutes out side with the current weather same with my other clothes but changing my shits help a lot on humidity days like we have had latly

I sweat faster than I can replace the water I look like some took a garden hose to me in short order out side now .

Try finding a shade tree and some cold beers, works for me most afternoons, of course it does slow down getting work done, but that's retirement for me… yesterday I went and got desal for the tractors, today I may run one a bit. Glad your range is working out and enjoy it, Post when you can!

AEP was kind enough to send me my electric bill. It is $213.00, that is TWICE what it has ever been in the past. I went out for a few minutes this morning doing chores at 7:00 AM and came inside. Just going out to get the mail at noon was unbearable. The remainder of the day will be spent loading 45 Colt ammo and watching something on TUBI or FREEVEE while I suck down a few beers.

A perfect copy of my Sunday. It was 98 outside but the basement workshop was nice and cool. So was the beer.

Yahoo says it 97 going to 102 today and I'm just about to get on the tractor… will be using the one with cab and AC for about an hour then shade tree time.

Those beers are best referred to as post retirement waistline enhancers.

The strangest thing I have found about retirement is keeping track of what day it is. I have to look at something that not only has a date on it but has the day listed too. As an example If I'm told it is August 7th, that means little to me you need to spell it out saying it is Wednesday, August 7th. I am pretty good at remembering the year so that is not an issue, yet.

That's me . I lose track of the days of the week . Only time it matters is every other Thursday when I have an affair to attend

To avoid the cumbersome problem of recalling the correct day of the week.....……..anything past "tomorrow"...…I refer to as SOMEday. 😎

    So far......so good. 😉

I forget what day it is often. Tuesday is usually a range day…. that helps me keep track of things a little !!! 🙃

Nobody ever explained that older men develop more sweat glands down the middle of their back than elsewhere.

Been kind a chilly in my neck of the woods. Then again it's still early in August. I don't think inside of the condo went past 73 (yet).

I have the same issue. We have a clock on the wall that gives the day of the week among other things. If it wasn't for that, I would never know what day it is. But being retired I really don't need all that information.

We had an evening match yesterday. Those late nights with no dinner make me hangry and miserable. During a match I have no time to eat from calling the line, assuring 100% safety and pulling targets It makes for non stop go-man-go. I did not eat dinner until until about 10:00 PM. That is four hours past my usual. Not going to make that mistake again it was terrible. Next Friday and Saturday we are hosting the Triple Deuce match. Folks will come from several states to participate. It is going to be a L-O-N-G hectic weekend running these matches. These are the times when I miss the energy of my youth.

Sounds like you've found your groove and are enjoying retirement!

I remember a while back you were looking for a competition scope. What did you wind up with?

I figured "in for a penny, in for a pound". So I bought a Nightforce Competition 15X55. Buying that stuff is one reason, well actually the only reason I continued to work for three moths after I started collecting Social Security. I was spending money like it grew on trees.

    You should run for Congress!

Tough to go wrong with a Nightforce.

It was 51 here this morning. Need a hoody early and late. I couldn't live where I have to stay indoors.
