I'm going to make a SWAG that changing to a straighter wall case (AI improved) will cause more problems than you already have. The straight wall case will 'stick' to the chamber more than the tapered standard 22/250 case.

Using a setting that appears a bit over gassed when the gun is clean might correct the 'short stroking' once the system gets a bit of fouling. The 22/250 has a totally different bore volume, port size, gas pressure equation than a 308 or even a 6.5 Creedmoor.

also powder type and 'speed' will have a bearing on performance, remember the problems the 5.56 first had with powder 'type'.

after shooting a few rounds from being set over gassed a bit it starts to not eject properly. Ie spent case is in action backwards and it’s picked up and partially tree to chamber unfired round Its a 2400.00 rifle and is the biggest pos I’ve ever had maybe besides a 579 Remington 22. I was shooting factory loaded nosler and Hornady ammo. Ic a company offers a 22 credemoor complete upper temped to get one and try it

The rifle has had less than 60 shots through it

Do you have a warranty? I'd send it in or at least contact the mfg.

yes I contacted mfg right after I got last winter about the gas valve issues I’ll have to call them again but talking to other people that have had pretty much same problems with theirs

Thanks, I looked that up after posting my question.

I'm grabbing at straws here but another suggestion: check function and/or apply some lube to the extractor and ejector parts. If either is stiff/sticking, this could be causing the described malfunction. Is there any part of the optic mount that overhangs the ejection port? Try removing the magazine before firing and see if the issue continues.

the bolt in the carrier was fouled bad about stuck.. this is the second time I’ve take. Apart and cleaned It does this to point of having problems I mentioned in about 20 rounds or so The casings have a lot of foiling on them after being ejected

had opportunity to talk to gunsmith who’s built all my custom rifles …. Said he’s had to rebarrel several to other chamberings .. 22 creedmoor 234win he said APF has the 22/250 platform figured out the best of them but the nature of the cartridge it’s less than ideal in ar10. Plus with 22creedmoor can use normal ar10 instead of expensive ones. The 22-250 mag is almost 200.00. I will probably go with the 22 creedmoor
