    That is awesome!

I tried to get tickets when they came, but they sold out before the date they said the tickets were supposed to go on sale. I was so upset. I had the date saved on my calendar to buy tickets….checked on it a few days before to be sure I was set to get my notice and it said "sold out".

we have been trying for three years. Louisville, Indy and Nashville with no luck. So, this year when our our Triple A team offered the opportunity to buy Savannah Banana tickets if you bought season tickets we went that route

Not in a division. They are an exhibition team. Think Harlem Globetrotters of baseball but about 100 times more entertaining than the globetrotters

they are a hoot! I would like to see a matchup off season with some team made up of current MLB players, now that might even be better.

We have a new Minor League team that starts playing in Spartanburg next year! I'm planning on going a few times before it gets hot next spring.

I wish they would have came up with a better team name than the Spartanburgers.🤢

I hope you can get a Spartanburger burger at the concession stand. 🍔

Minor league baseball is a blast. I saw a lot of Durham Bulls games when I lived in N.Carolina.

That explains things….I bet that is what happened here. I was SOOO mad when I saw it was sold out even before the tickets were supposed to be available. I would love to see them some day.

we did that in Savannah about 3-4 years ago before they really got famous. We were walking around and hung out with them/said hello and shaking hands.

I have seen highlights of the Savannah Bananas. I'd love to see them live. Good Lord has o be better than pro baseball, what a boring sport.

The pro game died when commissioner Bud Selig turned a blind eye to the steroid abuse in the game. And nothing has changed since then. It's a game of pitch counts and muscle heads swinging for the fences. The game I grew up playing and studying is now one-dimensional and not worth a second thought.

One fun thing, at least when we saw them- the game is time limited to two hours. It holds everyone’s attention start to finish.

We saw them at their little stadium in Savannah and I remember one of the funny rules was if a Bananas fan catches a fly ball from the other team- It counted as an out!

that is how the game ended Thursday night. A little boy ( maybe 8-10 years old) caught a foul ball down the third base line for the third out. The entire Bananas team went running over ti the kids they stuck a yellow cowboy hat and a bananas jersey on him and carried him to the mound. It was really cool to see how much energy they all put into celebrating the little guy

    That's hilarious. An 8 year-old yard ape gets a hero's welcome. I'd love to see a game.
