Manuhrin PP
I bought a Manuhrin made Walther PP in 32 ACP and it's marked/finished differently than the other Walther, Manuhrin models I already have.
Grips are original, however I presume the gun has been refinished at some point, although the lettering and numbers are sharp. No soft edges anywhere. However any other Walther, Manhurin I've seen and own is pretty nicely blued
The serial number on the slide and frame match. Everything works as it should. There is another number stamped on the front handguard -
The above number was stamped before the current finish was attached. I have a Star 9mm with a similar appearing stamp which designates that it was used by a West German police or state level constabulary department. Am wondering if anyone has any info on this? Were PPs repurposed for local French, German police types?
I got the gun for a good price and I reload, 32 ACP in the larger gun should be pretty pleasant.

On the frame, the lower half of numbers 2,7,and 9 are pretty faint. Also think refinish. Not bad though. I'd own and shoot it. Heck yeah

yea been parked but some of those coming in had a lot of blue wear. Looks fine to me and your mag is original. I like it.

Guessing that it was glass bead blasted (possibly to remove rust) and then refinished. If there is a 2 digit number next to an antler stamped on the upper frame visible through the ejection port, that would be the year of proofing and therefore the year of manufacture. Serial# seems to indicate 1973.
