Shots Fired at Trump Golf Club
Former President Donald Trump's campaign confirmed in a statement that he is safe after gunshots were fired in his vicinity at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Fox News' Lucas Tomlinson confirmed that the Secret Service opened fire after they saw a man lift an AK-47.
Trump told FOX reporter Baier he was playing golf on his course in West Palm Beach on the 5th hole when shots rang out.
Trump reaffirmed to Baier that he was fine and there was no evidence any shots were near him or hitting near him.
He was then put into a golf cart and quickly driven away from that spot back to the clubhouse.

Agree, am totally disgusted at what Joe Biden & Kamilla Harris has done to not just the Secret Service but EVERY federal department.
Actions of federal agencies have had a devastating effect on our livelihood, our freedoms, our prosperity, and most important our safety and security. Honestly believe these people have contempt for common people. Examples are numerous to list. Even worse their powers grow and Congress is doing little to stop them.

Considering the firearm and location, the 'threat was remote'. By this I mean the possibility of actually hitting/harming the intended target was theoretical at best.
Witnesses reported a 'pop, pop' 'pop, pop'. Even the moderately powerful 7.62x39 round's muzzle blast isn't 'pop, pop' at a range close enough to ensure a hit.
Only 4 shots were fired? Given the 'spray and hope' accuracy of the AK, altered SKS, or whatever it was, why wouldn't a 'real assassin' empty the magazine?
This scenario has so many holes in it that it's a joke. The perpetrator was played for the radical fool in another epic stage play.

Allegedly the shots were fired by the SS when one of them spotted the gun barrel poking through the brush.

The best defense is a good offense. The people charged with protecting Trump saw a muzzle poking through the fence. Best way to stop that threat right now is to shoot at it. It worked. Bad guy ran away, good guys found his hide, bad guy was caught later.

The thing I don't get is who clued the shooter where trump was gonna be? A "Mole" in the SS? Be funny if some guy drugged dude and pitched him the weeds with a rifle and someone played a recording of gun shots for the SS to react to.
Also how did he get a rifle? Facebook Market Place or Craig's List? Did it come with the serial number wrecked? Is so is that extra charge to have that done?

They're charging him with 'defacing' the serial number. Apparently the 'shooter' didn't fire the rifle.
