Big ditch
Rented a Jeep. Headed north to see the south rim of the big ditch. Stopping in Sedona for the night on the way back.

It is! one heck of a big ditch. When we visited I was like, I don't see nothing but trees then it opened up and wahooo what a site!

Some years ago leaving Las Vegas we got clearance to fly low level along the Grand Canyon. We kept above ground level until it widened out and then flew below ground level for a ways. It was a very scenic view.

I have been to the Grand Canyon many times. By far and away the best way to see it is to fly it.
I don't know why but the best way to understand the canyon is from the air.
A totally different perspective.
