President Trump,,
Announced, another part of his economic plan will be NO taxes on overtime pay.
That's huge.

And no tax on SS benefits.
Go Trump.

Income is income.
You tax it or you don’t.
Buying votes via the tax code is as off-putting by a Republican as it is by a Democrat.

Exactly. Now he is taking a page out of the Dems playbook.

But he delivers on his plans as he has in the past. He also has a plan, which he shares with you

Not tax on OT and SSI is a good START. I agree, there should be NO income tax, but remember the old saying......dont look a gift horse in the mouth!
Just sayin'

Abolish all taxes other than sales tax. Rich pay a high tax, middle income, middle tax,and low income pay a small tax, all based on what you spend. No loop holes.
Guess who pays hardly any tax and receive the most benefits as it is now?
I think I have read somewhere we pay over 50% of our income for some sort of tax.
2 Cents for what it is worth.

Income tax has always been a scourge since conception. I can remember during the Klinton Regime people making of 50K were in the 28% tax bracket.
IMHO if we must have an income tax it should be at a low flat rate. Everyone pay the same rate. Get rid of many of the deductions government uses to control our behavior, especially "Earned Income Credit".

Do not begrudge those LEO's their overtime. We'd be in even worse shape than we are without those folks earning a little bit extra.

If all we have is sales tax, how does that work with EBT and SNAP cards?
As an aside, I always love "Earned Credit Income".
"I did not have any income tax held from my pay check. I do not have to pay any income tax. I got a $X,XXX.XX income tax refund."
Yes, it is said the rich don't pay their fair share of income tax . . . but I would guess there are a far greater number of folks that don't pay any income tax. I suppose the sales tax could get some from them - except they are most likely "paying" for their purchase with my tax dollars anyway.
and while I am on a roll
The local college has an issue on the ballot. They have promised that my property taxes will not go up because some of the bonds will be paid off soon (which of course should allow my property taxes to go down). Why let my property taxes go down because some bonds will be paid off when it would be just as easy to borrow more money and keep my taxes at the same level (assuming my property taxes will be kept at the same level)? Finally why do you get a vote on my property taxes going up, when you don't have any property - meaning your taxes will not be going up any BECAUSE YOU DON'T PAY ANY PROPERTY TAXES???!!! (If you would like, I will try and explain to you why I am raising your rent.)
