Sticker shock for hot dogs.
I haven't bought hot dogs for at least a couple of years if not longer. The last time I bought some was back when they went on sale for a buck with a coupon. So needless to say I had bunch of Oscar Mayers stashed in the freezer (until now). So a pack of Oscar is now $6 at regular price. I tell you this brotha needs a loan to buy a pack of lips and donkey holes. Crazy.
I kind a wanna watch John Candy in "The Great Outdoors". Did they have eating contests before the Old '96-er? Just googled that and they had pie eating contest back in 1878 in Toronto. So I guess yeah but it's pie.

Yosh, if you ever get to Rock Springs, Wyoming get what the locals there call a "kronsky". It's also a dried sausage. Never seen them anywhere else.
Kronskys may be the only good thing about Rock Springs.

If you're ever in Clifton, NJ 😫, stop at Rutt's Hut for a deep fried dog. You can order one from barely cooked to gnarly. (Yes, they have other food also.) It's been the same since opening in 1928. OH, and it has a bar!
This also got me thinking of "Italian hot dogs." That's 1 or 2 deep fried dogs in an Italian pocket bread or roll with fried onions, peppers, potatoes and brown deli mustard. 😛

There are also Sonoran dogs in and around Tucson/Phoenix.
