The right equipment helps
But some times a monkey comes in handy too;
Had a bit of storm damage last week and needed some trees cleaned up and a couple removed that were still standing. This was a 60 year old maple between the house and the pond where the guys couldn't use the bucket truck. Took him about a half hour to limb it down to where the main trunk branches out. One handed chainsawing while guiding the fall with the other hand.
Back today with the bucket to get an even bigger one down by the road;
I went back to grab my kindle to take a couple of pics when he was getting in the bucket and he had this much done in the 5 or 6 minutes I was gone. It is a lot more fun watching pro's at work than doing it myself. Bob

The last one we had done, they did a "notch and watch". Another words they cut it down safely and I cleaned it up for the firewood.
A good friend owns a tree service. The amount of equipment and tools they have today to do the work safely is amazing and expensive.

Yeah, an hour later, after their lunch break, it was time to feed the chipper;
With all of the right equipment 3 guys and 1 gal got done in 4 hours yesterday and 2 hours today what even in my youth would have taken me a week to cut and several more days to haul and burn up. Bob

My cousin had a large tree that was close to the house and out of reach of a bucket truck. They brought in a crane and suspended a man from the cable. He cut pieces & then lowered them with another cable. They said this was the new & faster way. 😳
