The Taurus bit the dust
The Taurus G3c. Worked great until it didn't. Get your jabs in now and "I told you so" comments early and often.
Seriously, the gun was fantastic for a long time. But now, it won't feed. Doesn't matter if its reloads, factory ammo, round nose, square nose, dodecahedron nose….it just refuses to eat. Maybe it's anorexic.
I'm calling it done. Done with cheap semi-automatics, that is.
Now I need a new truck gun. Probably a revolver. No nonsense and always goes bang.
Opinions and thoughts and second guesses are always welcome. Bring it on!!!

I thought about that but 3 for 3 with the same issue? Seems like a stretch.

Had recoil springs get weak in some semi autos, yea kicking the can but vey possible.

Try a Glock. You will never need anything else.

Live and learn. Yeah, I'd be done with it.

Their revolvers work pretty well, though they are pretty cheap. That said, hard to beat Ruger's revolvers, though I never leave a firearm in a vehicle unless it is in a hidden steel box screwed to the floor.

Another vote for Ruger. They have served us well.

1st, get a truck gun (GLOCK!)
2nd, play with getting the Taurus to run. I'd polish the dickens out of the feed ramp.

It's like you read my mind. Going to compare some Glocks this weekend and I already have the Taurus barrel mounted in the vise ready for polishing the ramp.

I think a Ruger Super Wrangler is pretty hard to beat for a “Truck Gun.” Pretty cheap, good, and fun…and you can keep the extra cylinder right in the glove box with it.
As far as the Taurus, I’d just send it in. They have pretty good service these days, and might fix it right up.

I like the Super Wrangler. And with the 22WMR option, I'd get a caliber that I don't currently have. I've shot some 22WMR and it's a fun round. I like it.

Forever. I think as long as it is still in production.

Yup, a revolver is the only way to go. All else is Hollywood Hype.

If you want a great .22 mag. Check out the S&W 351PD. Great gun, Light weight(11oz empty) 7 shot, hi viz fiber optic front sight, very accurate, great grip with finger grooves. A little pricey but well worth it.

After firing a S&W 2.0 Bodyguard, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a small, but very shootable handgun. 10 rds of .380 and really decent sights.
If you want a revolver, a S&W 66 or a Ruger GP-100 are both top notch…

As long as you can stand repeated trips to UPS hoping some day Taurus will actually fix it.
Taurus is junk, pay the extra money for Ruger, S&W, Sig, or Glock.

Use that and maybe they'll send you a new gun or they'll fix it right, then sell it. I should have done this with my Kimber CDP2 when they replaced the whole gun.
Get a used Glock or S&W M&P basically the same as a Glock. But since you're gonna do some work might as well replace the magazine springs with Wolff. While waiting for the springs to show clean the magazine. Be funny if there were large dust bunnies causing the issue.

Have you checked for broken parts or gunk in the action? This sort of thing isn't brand specific.

As for the warranty, I don't think Taurus will help me. Last year, I stripped the gun down and removed the blueing from the slide. A fun little project and experiment. But I'm sure I voided the warranty.
I suppose it's Glock time if I want a reliable, not too expensive semi-auto. Or another Beretta 92. Hmmm…that's a thought….

I have had good luck with my Tarus, 1st gen 40. They do have a lifetime warranty. Send it to em. If all you did was remove the blueing, that shouldnt affect warranty.
If you dont wanna mess with the "junk" gun, then im in for the giveaway!

I had a bad experience with a Taurus product several years ago…. To their credit the item was shipped back twice and they attempted to fix the issue. It still was not totally corrected after the 2nd trip in so I moved it on to a buddy who had some gunsmithing abilities.. He made it good and has kept it all these years..
Send it in…..maybe they will fix the issue for you..

I would call Taurus up. Tell them that its not working. They will give you a shipping label. That way you can send it right back. There turn around time is getting better. I have sent a bunch of them back for warranty work. As a dealer I get alot of different makes turned in for upgrades. If I feel that something is not working right. I don't want to void the warranty. So i call them up. None of the major companies have turned me down.

Get a Taurus revolver………hey…….it's a truck gun

I like the old P-series Rugers for a truck gun.Use it for a jack handle, drive nails with it,abuse it all sorts of ways and it still works.Sort of like the old girl friend that was a little homely, but would help bail hay and carry shingles up the ladder when you roofed the house.

I agree with the Ruger comments, if you dont want anyone to steal it get a Glock.

Ok, ok so I have dabbled with taurus’ over the years.
I had a revolver that was free spinning and mailed it back , all I had to pay was postage.
Go to their website , print out a form, mail that gun to Taurus.
The service was free
mail … it…to …Taurus3 -
I bought a used Taurus model 85 revolver for my son to have for a truck gun. It had a broken firing in and I sent it back to Taurus. No charge to fix it and turn around was only about two weeks. I would send it back to Taurus

…Ive only bought 1 Taurus, a Raging Bull 454 Casull when they came out… few thousand rds of 454 and 45LC, never any trouble… never a rattle or problem…buddy has a Taurus 9mm semi he has had for at least 30 years and has shot probably 2000+ rnds thru it w/o a problem…I tore it down and cleaned the Taurus for him, filthy but still functioning…I have no idea how newer/older models function…
BUT!😁 I have an OLD SS Ruger P90 45acp I have carried in truck consoles for 30 years+(?)…shoot and clean it now and then, has always gone "BANG"…been collecting Colt 1911's since the 90's…I carry & have carried the same Colt Commander 191145acp for decades, same Galco holster, I dearly love Colt 1911's…but, I trust the Ruger P90 as much as I trust any Colt I have or I'd have a Colt in my console instead of the Ruger P90… Ruger makes good, solid guns…
