Junk pile finds
I just found a large box of sports cards from the eighties a box with 300 45 rpm records and a bunch of kids books. I plan on taking all of it to the local Amvet thrift shop
before I do can anyone think of any obvious treasures that I should look for.

If the 45 records have sleeves, and they are well known bands I would keep them, if you have a bunch of Perry Como, Mel Torme, Bring Crosby records then of course send them on. As I recall sports cards from the sixties and seventies are worthwhile keeping, anything later has been duplicated to the nth degree and have lost all their value. I see cases and cases of late sports cards at garage sales and shake my head at all the money they wasted on them.

Hey! Mel deserves more respect than that.

Ya sports cards like Bennie baby's were hyped and produced to death millions of them
Sad the money spent and now are Good for maybe kids to play with
I am No expert or collector, by any means but there may be a few that are collectable if you want to sort thru them good luck
The Records have made a big come back, over the last ten years or so but my under standing like all such items condition rarity and still like new

I looked at the records and nothing jumped out at me, everything was mass produced type music and I knew about the over production of sports cards just making sure. I am sure Amvets will sell them and put t he money to good use.

If you find some old baseball clothes for god's sake don't throw them away.

Take some time to pick through it. Google items to get estimated value.
