    Have a spot reserved with a taxidermist so you can just drop it off to him or her when you get back home with your new bear rug. The dog's'll love it!

    That's some remote country, but beautiful in the Fall. Bring warm clothes because it get cold up there early.

    We were camping nearby in Blackwater Falls and it got down to 39 degrees one night. In June!

    '06 will do the job quite nicely. Nice area around Glady. Southern part of the state, south of Charleston, has a rapidly expanding population. Liberal use of dogs and Boone Co has a concurrent firearms deer and bear season. Not sure about other counties. Our early season in MIngo Co just ended. I have a friend that hunted with some men from New York state that came in and they treed four and harvested one in three days of hunting. Green Bank area around the observatory has a good population too. Regular pics on game cameras now.
