Bicycle bug
I posted a couple weeks back my wife and I dusted off our old bikes and decided To go for it after 15+ years of not being.on one
Needless to say my skills have vanished but coming around at least I think
Some years ago my wife mentioned getting a tandem bike it would be fun as her cousin and her had one and loved it when they wete kids .
But Cost are just crazy for one so it never come in the picture
But I kept that conversation in mind
I ran across one on line at a thrift shop two weeks ago and placed some bids
And won 140.00 was the end I was top bidder up the last few minutes with a 47.00 bid i had my fingers crossed but last minute flurry as normal of bidders trying to beat me I had a 201.00 max
It was a two hour drive one way but we made the trip on Thursday traffic was crazy
But made it home safe Nerves were shot but OK LOL
My wife told me she told her coworkers about it but had some thoughts after seeing me on my bike last week and does not want to crash over my lack of practice
I get it . but at least I got her the bike she was wanting for some time. Me as for me I use to be good and loved to bike ride a few practiced runs and scrapes. I will be good to go well maybe

One thing about tandems........if one of you goes down, you BOTH go down......and possibly pretty hard.
Be careful out there.....…and wear goggles AND helmets.😬

We have one and enjoy it. My bride prefers the back seat, and I promise that it not for the view. I secretly think it is so that she doesn’t have to pedal when the going gets tough.

Sounds like fun! Tandem bikes are a hoot!
Be sure that the brakes are in top condition. Tandems go fast and stopping the mass of the bike and 2 riders requires good brakes.
