Help identify these two items

I need help identifying a military (?) front sight assembly and a plastic buttplate. I see no markings on the sight assembly. The buttpjate is marked Sharp in an oval. Any help on manufacturer and value will be apreciated.

  The front sight is from a Kar98a small ring Mauser. With no proofs evident, it is hard to tell if it came from a German 98a, or a Polish 98az. Both were virtually identical.

  Can't help with the buttplate.

  Thanks Chris. Closer inspection revealed what looks like 50 stamped on the left side.
